As light passes through the many prisms and lenses of a traditional roof-prism binocular, some light is typically lost along the way. Bushnell's exclusive Advanced Fusion Hybrid Lens system fights this by using 60 layers of coating on each prism to harness and optimize light transmission. This creates a world-leading 99.73 percent light transmission rate per lens and a combined 90 percent rate, making the Elite the brightest binocular in its class. The addition of ED Prime glass helps the Elite take the next step by delivering amazing color resolution and contrast while eliminating color fringing. No more straining to identify a bird from a distance, or struggling to read the name on a uniform jersey.
