I'm looking at spending no more than $ 300 for a digital camera. I don't want anything professional. But I am intending on it lasting for quite a while. I've been looking pretty hardcore at the sony cybershot but I was wondering what other, more camera savvy people had and their opinions.

Kodak V1003 is awesome! its about $ 200 and then a sim card is about $ 20-$ 40! It has different effects sepia, black & white...etc. Ans it has 8mp Its very easy to control. The buttons are very nice and the quality of the pictures is great!

I just brought a new digital camera.I figured out how to take pictures but i can't upload them to the internet.All it come with was the camera and the USB jack and i hooked it in the back and hooked it to the camera but nothing happens.Then i went to install cameras on the computer but it didn't have anything for an "Olympus D-55 Zoom Inagelink" so can somebody plese help me and tell me what to do thanks.

Well let start this way do you have any photo studios or photo gallerys if so open them up and you should find a option to upload pics from digital camera. If not then you need to buy one or download one from download.com they have some freeware photo studios for free then you will be able to download your digital pics. I'm looking for a decent digital camera to use primarily for shooting flower arrangements against white backgrounds. Quality and focus are the major concerns here as most of the work will be closeup/macro. A good zoom lens and SLR are a plus for general purpose shooting. What camera(s) would you recommend in the under $ 600 price range?

Well, digital cameras have been put to both good and bad uses. Contractors use them to say survey a work site and the images are so clear even when enlarged. Makes it easy to show perhaps a job well done.

But then you have the voyeurs. Same deal. Crystal clear images of some girl taking a shower or something. I can't really say that's a cultural 'development'. More of a negative. But still, it's an effect of usage of digital cameras.
