I want a good digital camera that takes high quality pictures. nothing over 300 dollars. Also does anyone know like how many GB or mega pixels are considered to be high quality pictures?

Well sony has a really good and cheap range just like this one, it's $ 179 with 14MP (That's good quality, and really good for the price) you can check it out here http://adf.ly/DPnb and Lumix do have some good cameras but not as cheap

I'm not a professional photographer by any means. I have never bought a digital camera before and this is the first time I've decided to invest in one. And so I don't have much knowledge on cameras. I just recently got to learn the difference between SLR and DSLR. I also learned that it's not the mega-pixels that matter but the type of lens. I want to know what you would suggest. Thanks.

Maybe, it depends upon how sophisticated you video editing program is.

Next time you shoot video, light the scene with enough light. This could be as simple as turning on more lights or adding a 500 watt work light with it aimed toward the ceiling.
