I'm needing a digital camera for a few gigs/concerts I'm going to soon. I was wondering which camera would best suit it, and it not being overly expensive. It's just for a few photographs of the bands playing ( blink 182 ;D ).

Your ideal camera is going to depend on whether you want a small point and shoot or a big DSLR camera. Either way I'd recommend Canon, I find their products to be very well-built and intuitive.

If you're looking for a DSLR, you don't want to cut corners, you want to get a camera which isn't going to become obsolete in a year. I will be laeving to the airport tom and will be bring my digital camera with me. Lately Iv'e been hereing that when a digital camera or memory card go through the airport x-ray it will be damaged along with PSP and any other devices that have momory cards. yes i think so. i only think the xray messes up film in cameras. my digital camera has gone through the airport xray and it is fine.

if you have a point and shoot, many companies make watertight housings for that, and they are pretty cheap compared to the dslr housings. there are even universal bags with a lens port to use that are decent. if you have the money and want to continue this hobby (which can be very rewarding and profitable) look at sea and sea brands. they have great gear and decent prices. good luck.
