Flash diffusers are used in photography to soften the light that hitsyour subject. This helps to distribute the light more evenly in the photo, removing harsh shadows.

The robust rectangular lip facilitates the handling and stabilizes the shape. The lip allows to mount and dismount the diffuser within a few seconds, depending on whether hard or soft lighting is needed

The arched front side widens the illumination angle by 20% compared to the flat front side of conventional flash diffusers. The wider illumination angle deflects some portions of the flash light to the ceiling and the walls from where it is reflected, thus further softening the lighting of the scene.

The Polaroid universal bounce diffuser attaches to most flash units and redirects the light at a 90 degree angle which provides more bounced light on the subject that what can be provided by ceiling reflections, and that means less light loss and greater flash to subject distance. You will also notice the lights beam spread is wider than that of the flash alone. Attachment is made with the use of adhesive backed hook and loop tabs which are provided. The Polaroid clinch band (sold separately) can also be used to attach the diffuser; it provides a non-adhesive method of securing the diffuser
