The 8 ½" Polaroid Snoot Diffuser is designed to limit the light coming from your flash unit to a relatively small area of your picture and provide a more pleasing and even exposure. It's used to highlight an object: examples include, a person's face, a flag, a product, a flower, use it as a hair light for portraits and many others. Shaped as a snoot, it will concentrate the light output from the flash into a much tighter beam, producing a dramatic cinematic lighting effect.

The Polaroid universal bounce diffuser attaches to most flash units and redirects the light at a 90 degree angle which provides more bounced light on the subject that what can be provided by ceiling reflections, and that means less light loss and greater flash to subject distance. You will also notice the lights beam spread is wider than that of the flash alone. Attachment is made with the use of adhesive backed hook and loop tabs which are provided. The Polaroid clinch band (sold separately) can also be used to attach the diffuser; it provides a non-adhesive method of securing the diffuser
