What digital camera would you recommend?

Question by aetherboxx: What digital camera would you recommend?
I'm looking for a decent digital camera to use primarily for shooting flower arrangements against white backgrounds. Quality and focus are the major concerns here as most of the work will be closeup/macro. A good zoom lens and SLR are a plus for general purpose shooting. What camera(s) would you recommend in the under $ 600 price range?

Nikon CoolPix.

What brand of digital camera would you suggest and why?

Question by Autumn Dream: What brand of digital camera would you suggest and why?
I'm not a professional photographer by any means. I have never bought a digital camera before and this is the first time I've decided to invest in one. And so I don't have much knowledge on cameras. I just recently got to learn the difference between SLR and DSLR. I also learned that it's not the mega-pixels that matter but the type of lens. I want to know what you would suggest. Thanks.

What would be the best digital camera for insect photography?

Question by wishi_was_inhawaii: What would be the best digital camera for insect photography?
I am looking for a good digital camera that would be capable of taking magnified photos of insects and other arthropods. I would also like the camera to be useful for general purposes as well. Preferably moderately priced.

A very very small one so the insects can hold it

What digital camera would you suggest for recording a low budget film?

Question by CC: What digital camera would you suggest for recording a low budget film?
It's an extremely low budget movie.

I would like to use a digital camera to record it because digital cameras are obviously cheaper and easier to use.

Should I record a movie with a digital camera or would it look to cheap? If I can, what digital camera would you suggest? If you say no to the digital camera idea, what other camera should I use (that's low-priced preferrably)?

Altough it won`t look stunning, for a newcomer what really matters is the direction, the script, the content.
Yeah, of course image quality matters but it is not basic if the rest of your elements are strong enough.
I think an average 12`000 dls camera is more than enough for a decent quality image.

What digital camera would be best for me?

Question by cafeaukait: What digital camera would be best for me?
I'm looking to buy a digital camera. My price range is around $ 100-$ 250. I take pictures A LOT. The camera is practically attached to my hand. I would like the camera to have some nice features like color extraction, but mostly I would like quality pictures. That's the most important thing to me. Also, I want something reliable. I bought a Kodak last September and burned out the flash bulb by this September. Any suggestions? Thanks!
